It is a hybrid cross between the Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis) and the Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides). It is a deciduous tree that can reach up to 20-30 ft in height and 20-25 ft in width. It is known for its delicate, pink, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom in mid to late summer. The tree has a narrow, upright habit and elongated, narrow leaves. It is drought-tolerant and thrives in full sun. It is hardy in USDA zones 7-11.
