Hemerocallis ‘Gentle Shepherd’ is a near-white daylily cultivar bearing elegant, ruffled blooms with a subtle cream to ivory tone and a pale green throat that give it a refined, understated quality uncommon among daylilies. It produces an abundance of flowers on tall, sturdy scapes in early to midsummer and forms attractive clumps of arching, strap-like foliage that remain tidy throughout the season. It thrives in full sun to partial shade with regular watering and well-draining soil and works well in borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings.
